Our dossier was officially logged in with the China Center for Adoption Affairs (CCAA) on February 1st! For those unfamiliar with the process this is the beginning of the official wait period. For a special needs child it means we will wait about 3-5 months to get final approval (but we hope it's sooner). After that we will receive a "letter seeking confirmation" in which we will respond back that "Yes!" we still desire to adopt Aiden Yuan Peng. After that is processed (1 more month) we should receive a travel approval letter.
Last week we also learned that our package arrived at Aiden's orphanage. This package included some toys (hand picked by his soon-to-be-siblings) and a photo album of his new family. How exciting to know that Aiden now knows he has a family waiting for him!
